About Me
I am the owner and primary clinician of Anchor Counseling & Consulting, LLC. I am a lifelong resident of Alaska, born and raised in Bethel. I have extensive experience providing individual, couples, and group counseling services in various settings across the state and am a specialized first responder counselor.

I completed my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Alaska Pacific University. I am licensed in the state of Alaska as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and am a board certified Supervisor. I am a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Emergency Responder and Public Safety Certified Clinician (ERPSCC), and Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC).
I live in Juneau, but provide counseling services via tele-health across Alaska using a HIPAA compliant version of Zoom. I specialize in working with first responders with a wide range of concerns including: trauma, depression, anxiety, work related stress, relationship issues, substance abuse, and other stressors. I use a variety of techniques including: EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Motivational Interviewing.
I have advanced training in working with first responders and front line healthcare providers. As the wife of a law enforcement officer and having previously been an EMT, I recognize the unique challenges that these populations face as a part of the job both on and off duty. I am a member of the Alaska State Troopers Critical Incident Response Team, and have multiple contracts with municipal police departments (Juneau and Anchorage Police Departments), hospitals, and other agencies related to health and wellness for first responders. It is my passion to work with those who have served their communities in the most selfless ways. I provide presentations, training, workshops, and webinars to first responders and their families upon request. I am a National Fraternal Order of Police Approved Wellness Provider.
Additionally, I am trained and experienced in working with families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss, along with perinatal mood disorders and the stressors that come with parenthood so I facilitate multiple groups in partnership with Bartlett Regional Hospital to provide support to these populations.

I accept and courtesy bill most insurances. Feel free to contact me or your insurance if you're wondering if I am in-network with your insurance. I am unable to bill Medicaid, Medicare or Tricare.
I enjoy being in nature, exercising, and spending time with loved ones. I am a life long learner, continuously seeking knowledge and training in evidence-based strategies for treating behavioral health concerns. I am committed to helping Alaskans live happier, healthier lives.
